maman
This is a re-post of the previous one that accompanied this painting. If you had left a comment and don't see it now, that is why. I had to delete the entire post. I went in to correct something and deleted html that distorted the blog lay out.
Anyway, I will not repeat what I posted. I hope you enjoy the piece. Happy 4th of July all !

Passing Ships
This piece was made for my friend, Rich who is a huge supporter of my work and who also happens to be a sailor. I'm looking forward to his receiving it next week. It was posted on my flickr site a couple days ago. I waited to put it on here to give Diane's work some blog time. As I mentioned before, I will be showcasing her work again.

Diane Kramer

I hope to post more of Diane's work, particularly her sculpture and ceramic work which is so beautiful and soulful. If you can't wait for my posting, please take a look over at her flickr site which is sure to inspire.
Love ya, Di. xx

New Work for Beacon Art Gallery
Two more paintings that are shore bound this coming Tuesday. I've been painting like mad, enjoying the urgency to get the work done in time for the summer art crowd at the Jersey shore. I'm hoping to have a couple more small pieces completed tomorrow and then it's packing time.

Art and Meaning
As some of you may know, artist Katherine Treffinger is currently interviewing other artists for a project she has titled "Art and Meaning" where each artist describes the meaning of making art along with an image of their work. She recently asked me to participate and today is my day of the post which can be viewed here. Many wonderful artists have already contributed their thoughts and images toward the project...I hope you will venture over to her site for an inspiring visit.

summer secrets
This is one of several works that will be going to Beacon Art Gallery in Stone Harbor, NJ, next week. The gallery which is brand new is located at 9412 Second Avenue. If you're down at the Jersey shore, please stop in and check out the art. The owner, Gary Jacketti, also runs a gallery in Beacon, a great art community in New York's Hudson Valley.
Huge thanks and hugs to my flickr friend and etsy customer, Dawn in Philly for stopping in at the gallery this past weekend and sharing info about my work with Gary :-)
